- 1 tsp ground sage
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional for a spicy kick
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or brown sugar for sweetness
- 1/4 tsp salt
Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with the spices: sage, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, red pepper flakes, salt, and maple syrup (or brown sugar).
Combine Thoroughly: Use your hands or a spoon to mix the ingredients until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat. Be careful not to overwork the beef to keep the sausage tender.
